We are a family owned and operated company, founded by John Della Pia Sr. in 1987, formerly called Beach Masonizing.  We have been proudly serving &  maintaining beaches for cities, municipalities, hotels, condominium associations, and private residences in Pinellas County by providing beach grooming services, dune restoration and sand maintenance projects. 

Currently, Coastal Sand Works provides beach grooming services to the upper portions of the beach; the dry sand areas.  This leaves a flat, soft and fluffy appearance and texture for beachgoers.  

We have tractors equipped with rakes to groom and sift the upper portion of the beach. 

We also provide sand maintenance  services when sand relocation is essential, provide support for dune restoration, and storm clean up. 

We have been serving St Petersburg Beach, Madeira Beach, Redington Shores, Redington Beach, Indian Shores, Indian Rocks Beach, and Belleair Beach since 1987! 

Yes, we are fully licensed and insured.  We have field permits from the appropriate city and the Florida Department of the Environment to operate beach cleaning equipment in all our service areas. 

We  have been working on the beach since 1987, and utilize mechanical beach cleaning & grooming methods to effectively maintain beaches without harming the natural vegetation and wildlife. Our employees have extensive knowledge of beach cleaning services and are continually educated on the importance of beachgoer safety and the environmental issues that relate to the beach.  Our employees have been trained on the protocols relating to beach erosion, sea turtles, and turtle nesting; assisting the local conservation groups in monitoring and protecting turtle nests during their nesting season.
